Pint Shop - Pub in Cambridgeshire
10 Peas Hill, Cambridge, CB2 3PN , Cambridgeshire
England,
United Kingdom
In the contemporary-rustic bar and dining rooms, and to the sheltered terrace, locals and tourists flock for 23 rotating beers, 100(ish) gins, 50+ whiskies and a seasonal menu that delivers delicious spit-roasted or chargrilled fish and meat. In the bar, tuck into a hot scotch egg with a runny middle or a pork belly sandwich washed down with a pint of Ripchord from local brewers, Brewboard. Or look to the main menu for a dirty burger, chicken flatbread kebab, or an excellent steak; in the dining room, food is cooked over coals just the way it used to be. A trail-blazing concept that pays homage to an age-old tradition (the original beer houses or 'Tom and Jerry Shops' are believed by many to be the birthplace of today's pub). This is the 19th-century beer house brilliantly reinvented.
