The Brisley Bell - Pub in Norfolk
The Green, Brisley, NR20 5DW, Norfolk
England,
United Kingdom
Amelia and Marcus have transformed a run-down 17th-century pub overlooking the lovely village common into a handsome inn with two stylish dining rooms, a book-lined snug with an open fire in winter and lots of nooks and crannies to sit in. French chef Hervé's hearty pub fare attracts plenty of locals, and his menus are fresh, seasonal and packed with flavour. Tuck into the likes of linguini tossed with tiger prawns, broccoli and saffron cream sauce, or pub classics cooked to perfection. Ales are local, like wines and whisky. Settle in the snug or out in the garden with a good book and a coffee, or chat in the bar over a hand-drawn pint. The views are vast and stretch in all directions. The nearest town is Dereham, six miles away; Norwich is 20 miles, and the many attractions of the north Norfolk coast about the same.
