Water Lane Bar & Restaurant - Pub in Hertfordshire
31 Water Lane, Bishops Stortford, CM23 2JZ, Hertfordshire
England,
United Kingdom

Effortlessly urban and chic, this casual dining outpost occupies the old Hawkes Brewery site in sublime style. Downstairs, in an awesomely proportioned, stone-vaulted cellar bar, you can order cocktails, craft beers and spirits, and graze on tasty bar snacks. Then find a table in an industrial-look dining room with stripped-back walls, exposed pipe work and copper lamps suspended from high ceilings. On the all-day menu: flavoursome flatbreads and burgers, mouth-watering steaks, sandwiches and soups, or strike out for salt baked pumpkin risotto, pulled lamb and chickpea masala, baked camembert to share... Leave room for Jaeger spiced roasted plums. Splendidly lazy and indulgent Sunday roasts, 'bottomless brunches', live Friday music… all is possible here.
